Keep Your Body Clean Natural Ways to Stay Healthy with Blood Purification

Our blood can become impure, the clear signs that indicate impurities, and the three most effective ways, as mentioned in the Ayurvedic scriptures, to purify the blood naturally at home without much effort.

Why is blood purification important?

Imagine a delivery person trying to navigate through rough, bumpy roads. They wouldn’t be efficient in delivering goods, right? Well, the same thing happens in our bodies. Our blood acts as the delivery person, transporting essential substances like oxygen, hormones, vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to our organs. But when toxins build up in our blood, it becomes impure and can’t function efficiently. If left unchecked, these toxins can lead to various disorders.

Signs of Blood Impurities

Our body gives us clear signs, often visible on our skin. It could be itching, allergies, rashes, pimples, hives, eczema, or psoriasis. Other signs include excessive hair loss, headaches, loss of appetite, fatigue, dark yellow urine, excessive menstrual bleeding, or other bleeding disorders. These symptoms indicate impurities in the blood, which, if not addressed, can lead to chronic health issues.

What causes blood toxicity?

Besides environmental pollution, negative emotions also play a significant role. Every time we experience anger, fear, jealousy, or sadness, our body produces certain substances that can make our blood toxic. Additionally, consuming acidic foods like carbonated drinks, chips, biscuits, chocolates, fried foods, non-vegetarian dishes, or overly salty, spicy, and sour foods can contribute to blood impurities. Eating incompatible food combinations, like mixing salt with milk, can also toxify the blood. Other factors include excessive use of antibiotics, smoking, alcohol consumption, irregular eating habits, and lack of sleep.

How do we purify the blood?

Our liver, spleen, and kidneys are primarily responsible for purifying the blood. However, due to the overload of toxins, these organs may not function optimally. The first step is to reduce the toxic overload by eliminating causal factors as much as possible. Fasting once every 15 days can be beneficial, and eating dinner early allows our organs to rejuvenate. Ayurveda emphasizes ‘Rakta Dhatu,’ the quality of our blood, as it impacts all other bodily tissues and functions. Thus, blood purification is crucial.

There are simple and inexpensive ways to purify the blood at home. One method is to consume 4 to 5 fresh neem leaves (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) on an empty stomach for five days. Neem is a natural blood purifier and widely available in India. Alternatively, you can try classical Ayurvedic syrups like Mahamanjisthadi and Khadirarishta, which contain potent detoxifying herbs. Another option is to drink Hibiscus flower tea, known for its blood-purifying properties and rich in antioxidants.
